My Solo Show at the Jeffrey Moose Gallery

I’ve been thrilled with my largest solo show to date, currently here on Bainbridge Island at the Jeffrey Moose Gallery. It ends on February 29th. Jeffrey is celebrating his 25th year as a gallery, and it’s an honor to be part of his celebration. He’s also an excellent framer and created the frames for all 17 pieces here. Thanks, Jeffrey!

Here’s his show description:

Dr. St Cyr, also a family physician on Bainbridge Island, was educated at Columbia College and attended medical school at Saint Louis University.  He began showing his work in the early 2000’s, initially concentrating on landscape. He has exhibited extensively in San Francisco, and Northern California as well as some exhibits in China, winning several prizes and awards, including First Place and Best of Show.

St Cyr has a unique eye to capture quiet, contemplative scenes that cause the viewer to exhale and relax. Natural textures and patterns wrap like a comforting blanket in his picture planes, giving one a sense of introspection and peace. Even more industrial images tend to exude a feeling of centeredness.
